Make sure you get the scosche TA021 wiring connector – cost around $7 at Wally-world. The installation would have taken much longer without it. This doesn’t have the same texture/color as the stock faceplate, but it closely matches the trim around the vents.
If you have your own tools/supplies (crimper/stripper, 10mm socket, wiring connector, etc), this is an excellant buy. If not, check out tacotunes. They offer something similar with the tools and needed parts included.

i installed a sony double din dvd player that looks excellent in my 2008 toyota tacoma… the scosche mounting kit is pretty right on as far as color match and not that hard to install… the only thing i think they could have improved on there product is sending felt pads as the factory stereo had on so it doesn’t shift while moving… i just “reused” the ones on that but they may fall off over time…. other than that it is AMAZING! thanks. =D

Pretty simple to assemble and worked with my Tacoma just fine. With no inventory listing the parts (number of screws, washers, or the plastic parts) I trusted everything I needed was in the box. Well,… Thank goodness I had collected various scrap screws and washers ‘cuse I would had to go out and buy some if I hadn’t had the right sizes in the garage. I hope this company will start to include and inventory list, as to what’s included in the package so everyone can see how it all fits together before investing the time in assimilating it only to find out more parts are needed in making it work properly.

It was really easy to install once i figured it out, and a lot cheaper doing it myself instead of paying the car shops to install. The instructions that come in the box were confusing. I had a 05 tacoma, and you have to un wrench the radio, it doesn’t pop off. But I do like the finish then the stock one. Over all a great buy.
